Linda's Top 10 favorite things to do on an Alaskan Vacation: Number Nine: Exploring Neat Towns and Visiting Interesting Landmarks!

Now don't take the order of these numbers too seriously. I had tons of fun doing a lot of things. My favorite towns to visit were Stewart, BC ( I know, I know, that's not in Alaska), Seward, AK and Homer, AK. Since future Top 10 positions will include Seward and Homer, the photos are of Stewart. Stewart is a quaint little town on the BC coast just next to Hyder, AK. Hyder is in the southern most tip of Alaska. There are two incredible reasons to visit Stewart and Hyder: Salmon Glacier and the Fish Creek - sight of a bear viewing boardwalk (stay tuned).

I loved the scenery at Stewart, along with the cute buildings and a few great places to dine! (You will find them on my Top 10 Culinary Memories from Alaska later.) Notice the shopping carts on the roof.
